As children we follow the example of our parents. Or someone we looked up to, if not our parents, like a pastor, a youth group leader, a coach, a teacher or a family friend that influenced us. We would go to them for advice, encouragement, acceptance and love. Sometimes we forget that God wants us to come to him for those things. The peace and joy from our Heavenly Father is one that No earthly person could ever match or compare. To live by His example of love and sacrifice is not hard if we just submit ourselves to His word and love. Our Father gives all we need to walk in His love. He has given us grace, peace and joy, we choose not to live that way. Ask Our Father to show what you already have within your heart and He will! Just ASK!
Ephesians 5:1-2
Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children 2 and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
Father God, In the power of the Holy Spirit we lay all our short comings and inhibitions before You. We submit our flesh to You and ask that You bring to light what we need to work on. Change our hearts to glorify You. Show us the person You made, show us the purpose for our lives. Heal our minds of negative thought and deliver us from bondage of addictions, shame, guilt, selfishness, of stubbornness and of pride. Break the stronghold of strife and confusion in our lives. With these things in the way we are unable to see You. We want to see You, Father, we want to feel You, Father. Make Your presence known in our lives from this day forward!!! Through the Blood of Jesus we are healed...In Jesus name...Amen & Amen!
